So how is a steel cage created, and what conditions are required? Let’s explore:
The production process must be systematic and interconnected
This is both a characteristic and a strict requirement in manufacturing. Numerous departments are established, each responsible for a specific stage of production and function. These departments act as crucial links in the steel cage manufacturing process.
In addition to performing their roles effectively, these departments must collaborate closely. Each production stage must be interconnected and interdependent to ensure a high-quality final product.
The entire process must be consistent and synchronized, adhering to three key factors:
- Compliance with the design drawings.
- Consistency in manufacturing technology.
- Consistency in the quality of materials used.
Steps in the production process:
1. Receiving the request
Upon receiving customer requirements, we proceed with the design calculations. This phase produces the primary technical drawing of the product, which provides a complete description of the shape, dimensions, materials, permissible tolerances, and essential product specifications.
2. Determine Production Needs and Set Standards
To manufacture a steel cage, two main materials are required: Rolled Steel and Sheet Steel. The selected steel types must have a clear and verified origin.
Based on the required production standards, we will:
- Calculate the necessary raw materials.
- Determine stock levels.
- Procure additional raw materials.
3. Process the steel billets.
Once all materials are ready, they are straightened and cut according to the specified design.
The steel wire coils will be drawn and straightened to remove the oxide layer before being fed into a drawing machine to achieve the required steel size. This process enhances the hardness of the steel and ensures the billets meet the desired specifications.
Sheet steel is cut into specific shapes using Plasma cutters, Laser machines, and Sheet metal cutters.
4. Welding Steel Mesh, Bending Springs, and Locking
To weld steel mesh, bend springs, and lock components, we use steel bars that have been straightened. These materials are then processed using specialized machines.

5. Production Stage 3: Welding the Frame, Base, and Other Components
After the large steel sheets are cut, they are transferred to the detail processing section. In this next step, various machines are used for production, including press brakes, stamping machines, spot welding machines, and robotic welding systems.

These components will be welded together to create semi-finished products such as the base frame, chassis frame, and other parts.

6. Surface Treatment
The semi-finished product will go through the following stages:
- Stage 1: Technical inspection – ensuring compliance with the design.
- Stage 2: Surface treatment – grinding off burrs and welds.
- Stage 3: Coating.
Currently, the following coating methods are used:
- Hot-dip galvanizing
- Electro-galvanizing
- Chromium plating
- Nickel plating

7. Assembly and Final Product Completion
8. Inspection – Packaging and Warehousing
The QC department will inspect the fully assembled products to ensure they meet the following criteria and standards:
- Compliance with the technical specifications in the design drawings
- Proper surface treatment
- Plating quality meets standards
- Ease of operation
Before being stored in the warehouse, the inspected products will be stacked and secured with straps, then covered with a layer of plastic wrap.
